Meet Verena Klanner, nutritionist and co-founder at ChewyMoon. She explains how she creates a great snack:
I only choose ingredients sourced from producers with a reputation for developing healthy foods. Any new snack we develop is sampled and approved with groups of children. They need to have the right taste, mouth-feel and eye-appeal.
Here’s why our snacks are different:
Kids have changing nutritional needs as they grow. We customise snack boxes based on your child’s age and taste ratings.
Plenty of fruits and veggies (fresh or dried) and wholegrains, healthy fats (nuts and fish)
Fruit rolls, bars, nuts and wholegrain cakes – packed with vitamins, minerals and fibre
Plenty of starchy carbohydrates, proteins, dairy foods and at least five portions of fruit and veg a day.
Yoghurt bites, fruit bars, nut mixes, wholegrain crackers, apple rings and blueberries are bursting with calcium and potassium
Iron rich foods such as raisin and dried apricots. Dairy products such as yoghurt for calcium needs to meet bone growth.

We’ve developed a simple system to determine everything we need to know about your child’s needs, life stage, likes and dislikes so that we can provide a unique snack box that will constantly develop as your child grows and changes.
Here’s how it works:
Tell us your child’s age and activity level, and rate snacks online so we know their taste preferences.
Our nutritionists then make your snack packs using the healthiest and tastiest ingredients. We only stock snacks that are taste approved by our panel of experts – kids!
Fun characters, collectible toys and brainy fact cards keep kids occupied, educated and entertained in the only way we know – the really fun way.
We then deliver a box to you every week.
Then rate the snacks online to tell us which ones you liked the most, and we will send you those (with the odd surprise snack thrown in)!
