We hear many facts each day, some true, some false, some laughably false.
Laughing, however, is the last thing you want to do when you read these five facts about unhealthy children’s nourishment. When you finish this, you will click off thinking “Oh wow, I need to keep a closer eye over what my child puts in their mouth.”
Here are the blood-curdling facts about the youth of today…
1. You are practically giving your children drugs.
Of course not! I would never even think of doing that to my poor baby.
The absolutely chilling thing that is evident with eating poor, low-nutrition food is that it changes your child’s brain activity.
Not only does it change things, but it is on par with what addictive drugs do, such as cocaine and heroin.
Who is their dealer?
2. Some snacks may look so pretty, but they will have your kids bouncing off the walls…
The colours may look like they’re packaged with magic, but also squeezed in there are additives and preservatives like common food dyes and sodium benzoate that can make your children become hyperactive and easily distracted. They are a killer to stellar youngsters’ nutrition!
3. The money you give them might just not be spent on school lunch
According to British children in secondary school in 2015, 84% of their transactions at the tills were for sugar-sweetened soft drinks, chocolate or sugary drinks.
4. More than a quarter of the child population are of an unhealthy weight
You have read that correctly!
A whopping 28% of children in 2017 aged from the tender age of two, right up to fifteen are overweight or obese.
5. There may be a reason for Fact 4…
Following a UK government survey, 92% of parents made it known that they would indeed stock up the kitchen with more fruit and vegetables if they were a better value for money, which would certainly improve kids’ diet.
You can improve the future, with one healthy snack at a time.
